The Aggregate and Mining Group segment manufactures and sells equipment for the aggregate, metallic mining, and recycling industries. Its products include aggregate processing equipment for the production and classification of sand, gravel, crushed stone, and minerals used in road construction and other applications; crushers, including jaws, horizontal shaft impact, vertical shaft impact, and roll crushers; sand classifying and washing equipment; conveying equipment; screening plants, portable and stationary screen structures, and vibrating screens; hydraulic rock breaker systems; and bulk material handling and minerals processing plant and equipment. The Mobile Asphalt Paving Group segment offers asphalt pavers, material transfer vehicles, milling machines, and asphalt reclaiming and soil stabilizing machinery. The Underground Group segment provides underground construction equipment and related accessories, such as utility trenchers, vibratory plows, directional drills, boring machines, and downhole tooling products. Astec Industries offers its products to highway and heavy equipment contractors, open mine operators, quarry operators, governmental agencies, and utility contractors through independent sales agents and distributors, and dealers.
