Artech’s founders had worked previously as consultants in multiple projects for large information systems with data bases, mainly in Brazil and Uruguay.

To solve these problems, Artech has made substantial original research in the areas of relational data bases, automatic application design, artificial intelligence and automatic treatment of knowledge in business systems.

GeneXus is distributed in all of Latin America, Spain, Italy, France, South Africa and China by commercial partners (consulting firms that distribute the product with important locally added value: on-site support, training and consulting), in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil by Artech subsidiaries and in Japan by a joint venture between Artech and local companies.
