Appraisal Institute is an international membership association of professional real estate appraisers. The association provides real estate solutions to its members, upholds professional credentials, and standards of professional practice and ethics consistent with the public good. It also offers residential and commercial real estate appraisal education, research, publishing, and professional membership designation programs. In addition, the association houses the Lum Library, which provides support for the research needs of members and professionals. It also publishes real estate appraisal literature, books, journals, industry business magazine, and an online news magazine. Appraisal Institute is based in Chicago, Illinois with an additional office in Washington, District of Columbia.
