AES Eletropaulo is the largest electricity distribution company in Latin America.

AES Eletropaulo distributes electricity in the 24 municipalities that make up Greater São Paulo, including the capital, serving more than 16 million consumers in 5.7 million homes or establishments. Annual electricity consumption in Brazil's principal economic center is approximately 32.577 GWh.

The company directly employs about 4.1 people. Its fixed assets include 135 Distribution Transformer Stations, with sub-station capacity of 13,2 MVA, 43.0 thousand kilometers of overhead and 2.9 thousand kilometers of underground sub-transmission (138/88 kV) lines and a total 1.1 million electricity poles.

These installations are spread out over the 4,526 square kilometers of the company's concession area, in one of Brazil's highest per capita GDP regions. Customer service is available at Eletropaulo's own stores and through a strategically chosen network of accredited agents.

Eletropaulo's operating and service infrastructure was planned and built to attend a very dynamic and demanding market, in a densely populated region, with a diversified manufacturing sector and a commercial and service sector comparable to that of any major world metropolis.
