As a part of reorganization, Universal Music Group folded the Geffen and A&M record labels into Interscope Records, a subsidiary of Universal Music to form IGA Group (Interscope Geffen A&M records) in 1999. A&M Records produces and distributes music records. The company was founded in 1962 and is based in Santa Monica, California.
