One simple happy question: How do you make a 'happy' product ?

Name any product in the market or at college that you think is successul in making your intended customers happy as well as your shareholders happy. This named product must also satisfy the real needs of society and is clean for the environment.

Happiness must also tally with responsibility..

Happy weekend all !

Just reply to Steve Harper and I should add some more information here:
Happiness should be a lasting experience, if possible.
Many products in the market are like 'lust' of some kind: you buy it, use it for a while, and after that its in the gigantic dustbin.

While nothing is forever, I would still like to suggest that heart to design something that you think will bring smiles and warmth in the heart for as long as possible.

I could go on with my dustbin of ideas/idealogy, but hopefully this clarifies for now.

cheers ! : )

Erik made a point: A product cannot be happy. But the use of a product can. The process of using a product that achieves your aim makes a person happy. But no product in the world can make an unhappy person happy. There is no contextual background to the question so anyone could just feel free to express their views. : )

Clarification added September 15, 2008:

Rob stated some important points that prompted me to clarify:

Happiness means differently to a lot of people.
Philosophically and physically, they define what is happiness on many levels.

Various cultures do dictate what happiness is. I am trying to find out the common big idea of what makes people happy and what are the differences to keep them happy. There are so many of them. To make people happy, both intangibles like policies/services and tangibles like products have to be identified. But the common ground may be that all people would favour human kindness, consideration or a sense of honesty and integrity.
But at least a sincere smile is what makes most people happy.
Cheers : )

Ice cream.

Karen,

some people will never be happy. Happy products are created by marketing. Sad products are created by competition, bad quality and politicians.
