I set up a LinkedIn account under my personal email address, but only wish to have my professional address used. How do I discontinue my personal one, which is Kametzc@aol.com?

Close this question as you just exposed your personal address to 120,000,000+ members...

You can and should add ALL active emails to your profile.
Mouse over your name at top right and select Settings then select Email and add ALL active emails and have them verified that they are active (at least now). Once verified you can select which will be primary. By registering all with LI, you will avoid creating a second profile accidentally when accepting an invite to a non-registered email address.

I suggest keeping all email addresses even if no longer active since some may only have an old one to connect with. Even if an address becomes invalid, people who try to connect with you here using that email will make contact as long as it remains listed. All invitations get forwarded to your primary address.

You dont need to discontinue it all what you need to do is change your email address as long as you didnt create a duplicate account
This is how you change your email address

To change the primary email address for your account:
1. Click the 'Settings' link at the top of the home page under your name after logging into your account.
2. Click on 'Add, change Email Addresses' – it opens to a screen
3. Enter the new email address.
4. Click 'Add Email Address'.
When you receive the confirmation message at the new email address:
1. Click the confirmation link in that message.
2. You will be taken to a web page on the LinkedIn site.
3. Click 'Confirm'.
4. Sign in to your account using the new email address.
5. The new email address will be confirmed and can be used to sign in to your account.
To make the new email address your primary email address for all LinkedIn communications, return to the 'Email Address' page, select the new address, and click 'Make Primary'.
It is advisable that you add all your Email addresses to your account including your business one but assign a personal one as a 1ry in case you change jobs, this way you avoid creating duplicate profiles
You need to make sure that you change the Email settings for your groups one by one and manually as they are not switched when you change your 1ry Email address automatically
