someone hacked into my colleague account on linkedin any tips?
someone hacked into my colleague account. he cannot change his password. He has over 1000 contacts. they have already been spammed via linkedin emails. any tips or suggestions?
i reccomend to anyone 1- not to use your work email or any advertised email when registering to linkedin 2- use complicated passwords

I believe if you enter a wrong apssword several ime, you are given the option to say you forgot your passwpord, and it will reset and send a link to your email address.

Did your colleague try the 'Forgot password?' link on the sign-in page? If so and that hasn't resolved the problem, he should contact LinkedIn customer support.
- Click on 'Help Center' below
- Put "contact us" in search field and click on search
- Follow instructions
- Send a note to LI
- Put Subject Line of "Account Hacked" so that hopefully they will get to it more quickly than otherwise (typical is a week).
