Is it possible to disable the automatic invite feature of Linked in? I've invited contacts who are not interested and would like to not be bothered with more invites from "me".

You need to withdraw each invitation one at a time. Go to your Inbox. Select Invitations and Sent Then click on each open invitation and select Withdraw.
Unfortunately, LI's default after importing an address book is to select all. If you aren't familiar with LI, then invitations are sent to everyone in your address book. In the future, if you import addresses from any address book, deselect the imported names. You can invite them individually later.

This is the million dollar question these days that has been asked in here even more than the duplicate profiles
You will need to withdraw every single individual invite manually and there is no easier way to do it and there is noway around it either it is painful but unfortunately the only way
Go to Contacts at the top of the page
Click to open the contact page
At the bottom there is a link "Sent Invitations"
Click
It will show you the invites you sent you need to open them one by one and withdraw them
Sorry you have to go through that I did and it wasnt fun
