Allowable Boolean Expressions for LinkedIn Search
I am able to use the "AND" and "OR" expressions for tailoring LinkedIn searches, but I can't figure out how to use those in combination with (or use standalone) the "NOT" expression. Does "NOT" even work here? I would appreciate hearing about any other "NOT"-so-obvious search tips also ;-)
Thanks,
John

I just tried to find someone at google who is *not* a recruiter by putting "-recruiter" in the title field and "google" in the company field. Either everyone at google is a recruiter or something doesn't work here.

Well, I just tried '<last name> NOT <first name>' for someone I had searched for earlier and found a lot of matches, but none of them for any that matched the first name. So I would assume that NOT is the expression you're looking for.
I also tried '!' in front of the search variable, but that didn't work.

Try this:

Looks to be similar to Google's search logic.

John,
I didn't even know you could use AND and/or OR! When you have a definitive list, would you post it to me?
