Does joining a group increase the number of members you're able to "see" within the LinkedIn Network?

In other words, in joining a group containing members who were outside your 3rd degree prior to joining, do these previously "hidden" members now become 100% visible in searches?

The reason I ask is because due to the new 50 group limit on LI, I need to remove about 60 groups. In removing these groups, will my "visibility" into the LI network shrink slightly? Should I remove the groups with the least amount of members? Or does this not even influence the scope of searches?

Thanks...

If you do a search, any fellow group member who is not in your "regular" network (3rd degree or less) WILL show up in the list of "Your Network". It will have a "Group" icon instead of "3rd" or "2nd", and if you sort by degrees away from you, that person will show up at the end of the list.

Yes, see the FAQ for more details.

Remove the Groups that are less useful to you, not just with with fewer members.
