I may be an exception, but I just don't do podcasts and webcasts. Part of that might be that I have some hearing loss, but the bulk of my dislike is that they waste my time. I read far faster than someone can talk coherently, and I'd rather get my material through the written word.
Transcripts of some events might be worthwhile; I do that for political speeches and such. Still, a transcript of something delivered orally is rarely as tightly edited as a well-written pice.
