Web application for project planning and execution
Does anyone know of a web application that does something similar to MS Project? Particularly with Gant charts and flow charts?
This would make a great Gmail feature.

Jomar,
I have listed a few websites below. I am not endorsing any product.
There are a ton of web based project management tools, many customized for specific industries or tasks. The prices are all over the place: very cheap to very expensive. If you know MS Project well, several web apps allow for MS Project integration.
Good Luck,
Ken

Jomar,
There are several web applications on the market that are very good. Many of them provide Gantt charts and flow charts. You may want to further refine your purpose for the web application and cross-reference your budget because the list of features can be vast. Take a look at the following list:
http://www.eproject.com
http://www.primavera.com
http://www.ca.com/clarity (Formerly Niku)
http://www.quickbase.com
http://www.copperproject.com
http://www.projectinsight.net
http://www.attask.com
http://www.aceproject.com
Again, you may wish to refine your needs as you seek to find a product to meet your goals.

If you decide to focus more on milestones, file sharing, to-do lists, content (text sharing) as opposed to printing charts check out Basecamphq.com. It is made by 37signals and takes a fresh look at how to approach projects. The focus is more on capturing all communications and iterations of a project as opposed to printing charts or mapping dependencies. If you work remotely this product will be a god send. If your clients can manage email, basecamhq will be a snap. Oh and the learning curve is nonexistent!

Forget it. MS Project sucks, Gantt charts sucks even more. These things just doesn't work. I would suggest you to look in agile direction -- it's much better if you need results. You can use Basecamp for project management then.
Short answer: Basecamp and agile development methodologies.
