If there is a similar event in the Hartford CT area, I would love to participate...
I would be very interested, however I'm not in the California area or even coast!
Hello Nicole,
I'm inspired by your question and enthusiasm!
Why join the Association for Women in Technology (AWT)?
AWT is dedicated to improving communications, furthering professional development, promoting education, and increasing opportunities for women and girls in the technology field. AWT is here to empower, encourage, inspire and support you, through the opportunities we provide.
For example, the AWT Mentorship Program is launching this Wednesday, February 6th, and offers members an opportunity to enhance career objectives through mentorship meetings and workshops, while experiencing positive mentoring relationships that empower.
In addition, AWT's 1st Quarterly Women in Technology Leadership Forum is scheduled for February 28th at the wonderful conference facilities of The Irvine Company in Newport Beach, CA. You will have the opportunity of hearing a panel of seasoned Orange County executive women speakers discuss concerns related to the shortage of women in Technology, the challenges women IT professionals face and how to break through these barriers both individually, as a team and as an organization.
Those are a couple examples of opportunties for which people may be inspired to engage in this exciting and empowering organization!
For more information about AWT and our events, please go to www.awtsocal.org.
Thank you for this wonderful question!
Best Regards,
Brenda Breen
