Mind, Body and Soul Restaurant idea.

Would this restaurant idea make sense to the mass market. I think this idea would work in big cities. The mind part has to do with integrating a google news type of environment in the restaurant. (Present news from around the world in creative ways) The Body would be enjoying food from around the world with chefs getting invited to the restaurant. Any ideas for the soul part? I have a potential idea for the soul part Would you go to this restaurant?

You are mixing some very diverse domains but with a consistent theme.
I suggest you develop a business plan as a first step in the proof of concept. Please see the below links.

Interesting concept. Can see that turning into a franchise.

The soul part? Well, what's your potential idea? People seem to be combining spiritual with biz/financial now so, I can see how it will work. Would I go? No. I'm not interested in google news when I'm eating. I prefer just good company. TV's and stuff are distracting although I can see many would do it.

Hi Omar,

This sounds like a great idea and I think there are a couple of things you could do for the 'soul' element:

1. the music - Soul music would contribute to a nice environment and is perfect for a restaurant.
2. the food - Soul food is a recognised cuisine of African American origin. My limited experience is that it is delicious and healthy so would be good for the body too. You could of course serve the fish 'sole' but that's a pretty bad pun I guess.
3. Onsite holistic therapies - I think there are lots of treatments that can be delivered in situ such as Indian Head Massage, limited Reiki treatment and shiatsu massage.

Finally, I would add: don't forget to do your market research. What would your potential customers like to see included? - If you can answer that question accurately then you have a key ingredient for a successful venture.

Good luck with the restaurant Omar - I think this is a great idea - let me know how you get on.

Best wishes,

Mark.

Hi Omar,
I think of integrating all the senses into a full experience for the guest so that it feels seemless. Perhaps there is a menu of soulful rituals that guests can choose from that invite different outcomes/experiences: 1. one for abundance 2. another for gratitude 3. one to honor a special occassion, etc.; I would love to see a full sensual experience using taste, touch, sight, sounds and smell integrated as well.
