Wanted: low cost place to stay in Downtown San Francisco Weeknights for Feb and March

Working with Pivotal Labs doing intensive software development for my new startup (Cinch) for the next month or so. Don't want to commute from Saratoga to 4th & Market everyday.
So I am looking for a place to sleep near there that wouldn't cost too much (We're funding this phase of the startup out of pocket :-)

If you know of anyone who has a room to rent or a recommendation for a low cost extended stay hotel, or something along those lines, please let me know!

My favorite 'frisco flophouse--the olympic hotel!

www.olympichotelsf.com (Which is probably down...try calling)

$80 or so a night.......but ask for the private bathroom. The building is 100 years old so most of it is hostel style (with 1 bathroom/shower per floor).

Despite this--it's actually a clean and convenient hotel. Just SUPER no frills.

I recommend Grosvenor Suites. I stayed there recently on vacation and found the accommodations decent and very affordable. They offer an extended stay option. Their website overstates the shape of the place a bit, but at the price I don't think you can go wrong.

When I am working with Pivotal, I often stay at the Hotel Fusion. It was less than a block from PIvotal's old location, and just a short walk from their new digs. It's nice, clean, freshly remodeled, has internet access, and very reasonably priced.

Enjoy! Maybe I'll see you over at Pivotal Labs sometime.

Kimpton Holels in SF (I believe they have eight hotels in SF) are wonderful and affordable! My pick (that I stayed in recently) is the Harbor Court Hotel. Prices are low via their web site via AAA, best rate or hot date promo) or hotels.com (they match any lower price that is proven). Small rooms yet big views of the Ferry Bldg & Bay Bridge. Wow! I hope you like it Robert! Cheers, L.
