Where can I find someone to write/blog about custom cars?
I have a new site that focuses on custom cars. Building the site was one thing, but building a user base is another. Currently the site is getting less than 100 visitors per day (65% from the US, 35% from everywhere else in the world).
With my day job, cranking out content is not as easy as I would like. But my thought is to offer due credit and a link back to someone who can create a few appropriate articles each week. This might be of interest to anyone who sells custom car parts or services, since they would get good exposure nationally (and beyond).
I would appreciate your keeping me in mind if you know anyone in that situation.

Clarification added February 7, 2008:
Good feedback everyone; thank you very much. I guess I should add a couple of caveats:
1) I need specific articles written by car-related subject matter experts. The content needs to be unique and origianal for SEO and other purposes, as well as high quality.
2) Shoestring budget.
I know that narrows the possibilities way down; therein lies my challenge.

use a company like Buzzlogic (tracks and monetizes bloggers worldwide) to find out who is writing about custom cars and then approach them or find a social agency who deals with multiple bloggers to approach them with a strategy.
You should be able to contact a professional blogger through a marketplace such as PayPerPost. As a company, we run larger campaigns for customers. As an individual, if you are willing to do the research, you should be able to self help.

Hi, Stephen!
You can find a freelancer to update your site content and write articles. It is always cheaper, as you don’t have to pay for the services of an agency and can contact a person directly. It is easier, faster and less expensive. Freelance writing is rather popular, so it will not take you long to find a right person, I’m sure. In most cases writers have samples of their works to show so you can always estimate the level of professionalism.
Good luck!

You could try commissioning a writer via sites like elance.com, or domystuff.com.
You could also try a site like iSnare.com who aggregate articles and then send them to publishers like you for use on your site. These articles are free to use.
All three are freelance writers who have worked in the automotive business. Don't know if any are exactly what you're looking for, but it would be worth a shot.
