Can I start a pizza food cart business on my property?
I see food carts businesses around town and all they have is a food cart. I want to start a pizza business but I don't have the money for it yet. But I was wondering if I had a food cart in my front yard and a wood pizza oven next to it can I make pizzas and sell them and be licensed at the same time? Would I be able to pass health and food inspections since it's basically the same thing as standing the food cart and pizza maker in a parking lot? Thanks!

Food healt and safety regulations are notoriousliy complex, and if you can't afford a cart, it is also unlikely you can afford to build facilities to the required standard on your property - they still have to meet the same standard, and domestic level facilities just won't do.
You'd be much better off getting a job with an established company in this area, and learning as much as you can about the business while saving up for a cart of your own.

Probably not in Boston area but you can start by talking to town authorities including zoning in your town.
How would your neighbours feel about living next to a pizza vendor? What hours would you be trading? There are likely to be issues with noise (from queing customers chatting to one another), smell and litter.
Loss of goodwill from your neighbours may have implications in the longer term - unless you plan on moving from the area soon and this is a short terrm scheme?
