Looking for personal budget/accounting software recommendations

I’m looking for recommendations on Quicken versus Microsoft Money. Looking for these features that I can think of:

- ability to make a monthly budget
- tracking daily expenses against the budget
- ability to create savings goals (trips, house projects, etc)
- debt tracking (car loans, mortgage, etc)
- ability to do taxes would be nice but not required
- preferably not too expensive

Interested in what people out there use (if anything). Thanks in advance.

I have used Quicken for years; all the way back to when there was Quicken for DOS. Remember the operating system that came before windows? :-)

While I like Quicken, all the latest reviews pretty much say that Quicken and Money are extremely close in providing the same value and features, so either one would be fine.

You might want to see if either one provides a trial of their software to try so you can see which one you like better.

Good Luck.

I do my banking with Bank of America and they provide an online budgeting / accounting program. It tracks everything and provides graphs, and it's free!

Take a look at either Quicken or Money, but in either case, just look at the entry level product unless you KNOW there is something you need in one of the premium packages.
