Where can I get good quality freelance writers/ journalists in India?

I'm in search of a few quality freelance writers for a project I'm working on. Would you know of a way to connect to them? Are there groups, forums, sites or associations in India for freelance writers? Any help is appreciated.

Since writing services are now virtual through the World Wide Web, any writer from English speaking countries, like Britain, Canada, Australia, and the USA, will do. However, you are best seeking a writer in a former British colony, as British English and US English can have differences.

The best places are:

Agency FAQs freelance exchange (http://freelance.afaqs.com/) and Guru.com (http://guru.com). Both of these are reliable.

However, quite immodestly, may I suggest myself? I have about nine years of experience in a variety of writing, chief among them feature journalism. I edited the India Abroad magazine (from rediff.com) for nearly four years and then headed the online content and editorial operations for Infosys for another three and a half. I have now broken away to flex my freelance muscles. If you would like to see samples, here are the more recent ones:

In this virtual world outsourcing writing work to all corners of the globe is becoming commonplace. May I recommend myself? I am committed to quality, have never missed a deadline, and am regularly praised for the quality of my work.

I'd recommend it and I know they're good because I've worked with them and their commitment to quality and timelines is unwavering. Try them. They're based out of India so that's a big advantage.

And like Jay said, informedideas.ning.com is also a great place to source good writers.
