How has universal and blended search changed the way you distribute your press releases?
Clarification added September 7, 2007:
I'm seeing great answers. My question really relates to the more traditional outlets that receive press releases like the biz journals and what is becoming the standard format now that images pllay an important role.

Assuming one actually targets releases for search engines versus media, being merely content with optimization won't do. Now everything must be "refined" to take advantage of placement.
It's harder too, because what's "universal" for Google isn't "blended" for Yahoo, MSN, Ask, etc. Where the former ties all the content into one spot, the latter pulls out media from search results. So multimedia releases won't necesarily be easier to feed through pipes, unless the they're properly tagged and formatted, and content organized to ensure proper capture. Blog posts more than wire services so far seem to benefit more from the weaving I figure, no?
Optimize for Google News, and you stand a chance of showing up in universal search results.
It's also possible that putting an image or two (jpg) within a press release might have some positive impacts these days. If the release is newsworthy, and the press use the picture, it could end up in a search engine news repository, and the within Web search results. Some rumblings indicate that video may start showing up in Google News sometime in the not distant future.
Getting ready to include videos with press releases might not be a bad idea, either.
