Unfortunately I don't know any PR specialists for authors however we offer book, writer, author and publishing promotions (for Artists) on the new HollywoodPrize.com. Sorry for the plug.

I know an outstanding author's publicist: Meryl Moss Media Relations. She has specialized in authors for over 15 years. The phone number is:
203 226 0199 and the website is: http://mediamuscle.com. Talk to Meryl she has done a number of these types of campaigns and will also tell you truthfully if she thinks she can help you. She's had (has) great clients and has a terrific staff!

Can't say I'm all that experienced with this specifically, but I'm right in the middle of this kind of outreach campaign on behalf of a Random House author with serious new media connections who is launching their second book at the end of the month.

I may be able to help, here, especially on the research end of things. As an author deeply involved with social media since 2004, I can also offer advice and consultation.

If I come across anyone with more experience who fits the bill, I'll add another answer. Thanks!
