Has anyone worked with HubSpot or Omniture for web analytics/blogging tools?

My company is considering leaping into the world of social media in 2009 and are contemplating tying our blogging tool to web analytics for a clear analysis of ROI. We are looking at HubSpot and Omniture currently and I'm interested to know if anyone has experience (good or bad) with either. Or if anyone has another company to suggest. Thank you!

You should look into Coremetrics. Depending on what you are looking to do with an analytics package, different vendors will vary with respect to feature sets. If you are looking to customize the method of data collection and easily segment and filter the data that you collect to get a greater understanding of who you users all (this will vary based on the amount of data that you collect from your users) you should check out Coremetrics.

I manage a blog internally for Omniture and track it with our SiteCatalyst product. I would be happy to share my experiences with you if it is helpful. You can contact me at insidesitecatalyst@omniture.com.

I bet that you don't want to talk to people who work at the companies you're evaluating, and I work at HubSpot so I won't tell you how awesome and affordable our product is. But, what I will tell you is that you can find unbiased people talking about HubSpot in their own words in a couple places - on Twitter (first link below), videos on YouTube (second link below) and direct quotes in our case studies (third link below).

I use a combination of Hubspot, Google Analytics, Google Webmaster Tools, Google Insights and Google Trends. If you want to track your RSS feed subscribers, use Feedburner.

I am currently using HusSpot AND have been using it for sometime now. I am now working as an SEO/SMO because of HubSpot and how EASY they made it for me to grasp inbound marketing. I used to work for until 3 months ago, when I got my job (as an SEO/SMO), was a manufacturer of food service goods. If you Google, the phrase, which is WELL KNOWN in the industry 'ergonomic checkstands, ' you will find that company on the first two results! That is alll b/c of HubSpot!
They have a keyword suggest tool, which I could not live without AND have found NOTHING that compares to it. If you are having a complete keyword research block, you can type in a word or phrase and find PLENTY of suggestions to help you with keyword discovery. They also offer a FABULOUS CMS, which is SOOOOO user friendly, once you grasp the basic 101, you will be on your way, AND you don't even need to know wed design.
Another thing they offer within the service is Website Grader, although a free tool, when you sign up with HubSpot you can track your competition as far as website grade, Google page rank, traffic rank, blog rank, how many inboound links they and you are getting, your del.icio.us Bookmarks, how many pages are indexed AND the keywords that are in the top 100.
Another thing is their dashboard that not only tracks your site and your information BUT gives you alerts to which blogs are out on the web that are related to your industry, that you can go on a comment! I mean I have looked and done a TON of research and HubSpot always came back with the BEST information.
I could go on AND on about how pleased I am and how well my website is benefiting from HubSpot, but the thing that is the TOP of the AMAZING list is their support! Not only do I have a consultant I can e-mail, but their forum has lots of informative posts from many individuals that you can read, but also post some of your own. I am telling you, within MINUTES I get a response that is right on the money. So regardless of what issue you have, someone is ALWAYS there guiding you and helping you out.
I swear I do not work for them, although it may sound that way! I just found a software and service that are BOTH GREAT, and make my job SOOOOOO much easier.

Hi Terri,

I work at a PR firm, and we use HubSpot both for ourselves and for our Internet marketing clients. Their software is easy to use and extremely helpful. Not to mention, the company has Webinars and other training materials that can help you use the software to its greatest potential (and become a better inbound marketer yourself.)

If you go to HubSpot.com you can request a demo of the software to see how it works for yourself — honestly I think that is the best plug I can give for them, is just to try it out and see everything it can do.

We are in the process of migrating our site to Hubspot and are starting a company blog. I have had a great experience with this company so far. I have met Brian Haligan, their CEO and he is very passionate about what he does and it rubs off on you. The people that I have worked with at Hubspot obviously share his passion.

The solution guides you in implementing a viable SEO strategy; of course you still have your own work to do such as keyword development. It is very easy to understand, and you start to see the big picture quickly with regard to what it is going to do for you. Great training materials, easy to follow interfaces. I can't say enough.

I know it's early in the game, but I am very happy that I chose Hubspot. You should at least talk to them and have them show you their capabilities.

I currently work with Hubspot for both my website and my Blog. The analytics are EXCELLENT! Their tools have helped me rank on the first page on search engines for a dozen or so of my most responsive key phrases, and the Blogging tool and analytics are easy to use as well.

Prior to moving my site to Hubspot I had problems with everything. For example, I only had 9 pages indexed by Google. Now less than a year later I have over 300!
