There are a few blogs that do more than just tumble the headlines. For business sNet I really respect Fred Wilson (A VC) but to see what's going on behind the scenes OpenSocial is it.

Hi there

Those you've mentioned but I also read the blog of Saul Klein (VC) and Venturebeat which is a good place to get information about web 2.0 Companies who have attracted VC funding.

Andrew:

I'm generally looking for blogs that explain how to use Web 2.0 technology effectively from a communicator's perspective, rather than the technology-oriented sites that tend to focus on the newest and coolest. My favorites are Shel Holtz's "A Shel of my former self," Neville Hobson's blog, and The NewPR Wiki, which gives a great overview of blogging policies (links below). I also subscribe to Ragan Communications daily e-zine, which gives terrific ideas on using Web 2.0.

Cheers,
Peggy

There are a lot of good blogs already listed on here, but I'll add a few others:
* SHIFT Communication's PR-Sqaured blog is pretty good
* Mark Cuban's blog (www.blogmaverick.com) is fun. Good talk about technology trends...and of course basketball.
* Hubspot's blog on Internet Marketing/SEO http://blog.hubspot.com/
* Robert Scoble's Scobelizer blog
* ZDNet: Phil Wainewright (SaaS), Joe McKendrick (SOA)
* David Linthicum on SOA (http://weblog.infoworld.com/realworldsoa/)
* for general entertainment, especially if you like basketball Gilbert Arenas' blog is great (http://gilbert-arenas.blogspot.com/)

It's a little more old-school, but I love Wired. And one other great way to get most of the top hits from across the web is to checkout PopURLs, which aggregates the most popular hits from all the most popular blogs and social bookmarking communities. Plus, it's customizable by site or by category.

If you're a PR person inspired by "Web 2.0," I would say that Steve Rubel's MicroPersuasion is top-tier. Steve is the SVP, Director of Insights at Edelman Digital and is really on the ball with this space. I find his commentary less about the tools, though he highlights them frequently, and talks more about the practical application of those tools.
