Depends, Pepi, if you mean calling out or in.
Society is becoming used to immediate gratification and grows more weary of interruption and information overload every day. For this reason I would never suggest a client begin outbound calling. In fact I have clients reducing their dependence on outbound calling.
If, however, you mean inbound immediate human answers for potential customers who have seen your product and or service and are interested, then --You betcha!!!!
Customers want privacy and immediate answers and are growing weary of answering machines and automated phone systems.
The most forward thinking and successful sales and recruiting strategies include real operators who are knowledgeable of the product, as well as the market needs and preferences. If you offer extended hours, knowledge, immediate response and warmth. You will be successful.
