Targeting Software Resellers and Channel Managers/Partners
I have developed a niche in my business where I can finance many types of customers (mostly SMBs small to mid sized businesses that is) who are in the market to buy software to grow their businesses. So I have been targeting resellers since it seems thats how most software is sold these days. I have used referrals and networking within my current network to meet some so far.
Any ideas on how to better target them or better yet, the reseller channel managers for the software companies themselves?? thanks in advance.

Stu - If I understand your question correctly, you are offering financing options to SMB business? Have you considered partnering with Microsoft's Dynamics organization? The Dynamics product set is primarily targeted towards SMB entities and Microsoft has 10s of thousand customers in this space. By partnering with Microsoft around offering financing options you might be able to use this existing channel while providing a value added offering to Microsoft and their customers.

I would talk to software companies that focus on SMBs. They should be able to introduce you to their VARs.

Find hardware vendors with a large ISV or VAR community (like Kodak, Xerox, Visioneer, Panasonic, etc...) and become their partner. Seems to be the best way to enter the VAR space.
