AccuData is one company that I have spoken with about list rental for direct email. Contact Sean Kellum at sean.kellum@accudata.com or 800-732-8340. D&B is a company that has a huge database of emails that can be sorted by using all kinds of filters, but they are a little more expensive then AccuData. Contact Shane Knoble at knobles@dnb.com or 800-222-3621 ext 7298,
A couple of things to keep in mind when renting email lists are:
Spam traps. If you generate enough Spam complaints or bad addresses, ISPs and email providers will block everything coming from our email address, IP address, or domain/company name.
Bad addresses. Half or more of the email addresses could go undelivered because they may not exist anymore or because our message gets blocked.
Lists become out of date quickly. Address churn on a typical email list is 20% to 30% a year on average.
Low open and click rates. Rented lists are never as effective as our own in-house list.
Bad reputation. High quality email platform providers do not like to work with companies who use rented lists.

Are you looking to "rent" a list or "buy" a list?
List rental is an accepted practice in email marketing. Owners will send an email to their list on your behalf for a fee. You don't see the list.
Buying a list means you buy a list.
Lists are built over time an that is how the value of the list is built. Selling the list diminishes the value.
Be careful, some companies prey upon those looking for a quick fix to building a list. And most of what they sell can be summed up with two words - bounce back.
What are you looking to do?

Hi Jonathan,
If you haven't checked out Nextmark, you may be able to find what you're looking for there. Something like this looks pretty close to what you're looking for dating:
http://lists.nextmark.com/market?page=order/online/datacard&id=132639
There are tons of targeted consumer and b2b lists on the site, so have a look around. Hope this was helpful.

Try Peter George with Century List Services
818-991-0500. This company offers you the option to rent or buy lists.
When you are renting/buying don't expect a great performance return, these people are mostly generated from a very broad aspect. I highly recommend that you dedicate more time to Online Marketing and generate your own privates lists. The value is much greater than the quick and easy way out. :)
Wish you the best,
Desiree
I second David Moore's "things to keep in mind." The negatives associated with buying or renting email list can possibly outweigh the benefits you get from it. Please keep in mind the CAN-SPAM Act if you plan on doing this.
I would definitely recommend list hygiene - keeping it up-to-date, immediately removing bounces and unsubscribes - and spreading out email delivery so that you're not raising to many red flags with ESP (Email Service Providers).
And another thing - watch out for those list brokers who claim to have "opted-in" or "double opted-in" list for purchase or rent. There is no such thing if you're buying or renting the list.

I suggest you post your offer and where affiliates can sign up if interested. I'd stay away from buying/renting/pimping any lists. Isn't that old news?
Btw I'm looking for good offers in survey and biz opps markets if you have any that are $0.75 EPC or better.

Hello - Two services that I see coming up time and again, both in use by clients, and whose logos are at the bottom of many professional emails in my inbox are Constant Contact (first link -- we work with them for client emailings), and aWeber (2nd link).
And if you use a WordPress based dynamic website or business blog, we have also had good success with a newsletter plugin (3rd link).
Yours - Scott
