Anyone have any luck with outranking sites through advertisement based articles on Google Knol?

It appears even further clarification is needed. Im not asking about page rank, the fact that the site is nofollowed is common knowledge. Im asking if anyone has seoed their Knols TO COMPETE, and bring extra traffic in smaller markets or whatever.

Unfortunately, Micah, Google has instituted the "nofollow" protocol on Knol so that it won't have much effect on your page rankings. I'm sure they knew they'd be spammed if they didn't. Of course, if people read something about you on Knol and then blog or link to it, then that will help you. That's actually what the engines want anyway.
