IF FireFox Plugins Were Easy to Build: What would YOU build and WHY?
As the browser with the world record for most downloads in 24hrs, FF is leading the way in plug-in/add-on environment that creates an amazingly flexible internet platform. FF is a development stack, describe your plug-in in terms of Problem, Solution, Why Yours is Better.
Heck, maybe developing FF plug-ins IS easy? Let me know about that too? And don't get me started on IE v6 OR v7 OR even previewed v8. (Oh boy, can you say workaround?!)

Building a Firefox add-on is fairly easy, at least if you already know all the technology behind a regular web page you already have 80% of the knowledge you need. All the documentation is online, and you can get started by automatically building a framework at the last link below.

I would further develop firebug to include some of the features of safari's dev environment like focusing via spotlight. I might also create an easy to use point at the page and have it build you a CSS selector gizmo.

I'd want a firerabbit for the firefox to chase
Haha...yeah, plus one on firerabbit.
Another neat function or add-on would be voice activated surfing.
I would build this thing that my friend Steve wants: http://brandimpact.wordpress.com/2008/07/08/one-interface-to-rule-them-all-2/
It's what he believes a lot of people are looking for.
