What is your strategy for using Web2.0 and streaming video for 2008?

I am looking to improve my use of these tools.

The power of Web2.0 and streaming video are now becoming obvious. If you don't have a strategy for your business to utilize these tools you my fall victim of your competitors efforts. Talk to anyone in the print advertising or printing businesses and they will tell you that they are feeling the pinch of customers leaving them for the web and video based advertising.

I would like to know what your strategy is, or what you think are the best strategies?

Additionally, I would be happy to share ideas and exchange resources off line. You may get my contact information and see some of the things I am doing with steaming video at www.TeleSalesUniversity.com -- your input is welcome.

I think you use these tool to show that
You matter to the market
-prove your relevance thru education
-this doesn't neccesarily mean giving away the farm, but educating a need, and perhaps some or lots of process. Giving the what or why, and some or lots of the how.

Flyn-

Very good question... It looks as if companies and organizations have already hit the ground running in 2008 and have already begun implementing Web 2.0 and video. I have seen and worked on some early campaigns involving both.

It looks like the hot ticket is personalized video. I provided a link below for everyone to review. The link is from a XMAS spoof my company created for a virtual card.

I am not trying to push my services, but I do think your question ties to a lot of what I am involved with.

It seems that companies that have incorporated some type of integrated campaign testing into their budget for 2008 have already begun looking into adding more bells and whistles for future marketing efforts.

Video is a great tool, especially when used properly. AD space is very available and what I foresee is advertisers adding video into their campaigns. Some advertising agencies have already jumped on the bandwagon.

I appreciate the question and I apologize for the rambling and random thoughts...

I look forward to reading everyone's response.

Enjoy the Superbowl!

Brent

I think Brent is on point. Of the viral campaigns I've seen, those that allow you to add your own personal content to an email thats funny (especially if it has music, animation--ie Jib Jab holiday emails , or multi-media interactivity--ie Burger King Chicken)

Perhaps one making fun of internet marketing to date might be good for your campaign. Or one which latched onto an ongoing internet meme or took into advantage of the cultural zeigheist of the moment.

This is also the kind of stuff that gets more love on social sites like Digg.
