What do you recommend for a newsletter on a blog?

For my blogs I am looking for a new online newsletter service. I have been using zookoda for about a year now and the last month it has been really a problem. No newsletters were sent :(.
So now I want a good alternative. At this point I have 165 subscribers at my newsletter.
Needs: personalization, import .csv, import rss of blog, weekly sending, multiple newsletters for different blogs, combine blog articles with other html text, not expensive :)

What service do you recommend and does it do all the things in my list?

Hi Erno,

I am using http://www.aweber.com as online newsletter service, for more than 3 years, and until now I didn't have any kind of problem with their service at any level, and they have all that you need. It's not free, but it's not expensive. I do recommend very strong the http://www.aweber.com

And in http://www.aweber.com/faq/questions/240/ there is a "lesson" on "How Do I Integrate My Blogger Blog With AWeber?"

Thanks,
Maria Spínola
Marketing Consultant Champion

P.S. I don't know if it happens in all browsers, but the "real" content of the URL http://www.aweber.com/faq/questions/240/ is not quite at the begin of the page, I have to scroll down a little bit, but the content is great :-)

P.P.S. Erno, when http://www.aweber.com say "Unlimited campaigns, lists, follow up messages, and newsletters.", this means that you only pay for one account, and in that account you can have unlimited campaigns, lists ( probably you need a list for each blog ). With one single account ( one single payment ) you can have unlimited campaigns, lists etc. and you can even "merge" different lists, if you want. http://www.aweber.com it's really powerful. If you need any more help, and if I can help you, please feel free to ask to me.

We've had nothing but good experiences with Campaign Monitor, for ourselves and our clients. We came across this on recommendation by Jason of 37signals, they use Campaign Monitor themselves.

I have used used MyNewsletterBuilder for the past two months. It takes a while to get your template set up but once finished, has all the auto functions you need for an automated system.

.

There is a small charge for their services.

Aweber you can import BUT they send out a confirmation letter with a link for them to click to "really" join.

Hi Erno

I use Feedblitz. It's cheap and very easy to set up and is originally made for "blogs to newsletter".

It depends what's important to you: bounce rates (white server status), ease of production/customization (templates), list management (configuration & reporting) or customer service (strategy, template design, analysis). I recommend the following platforms:

CoolerEmail - affordable self-service email platform with easy customization and reporting
eROI - full-service emarketing agency with email platform
Yesmail - wide range of email marketing platforms and service levels

If you're using Wordpress I'd recommend ShiftThis' Wordpress plugin.

A friend of a friend (Matt Browne) just launched is an RSS to Email newsletter solution called Nourish – http://www.nouri.sh.
It can take an RSS feed from a blog or feeds from multiple blogs and send them out as a newsletter to your list – on a preset schedule.

The cool part about this is once you’ve set it up, your newsletter information remains on your site and is searchable (for the life of your site vs. just being deleted like most e-mail newsletters).

You can sign up for a free account that will deliver up to 5000 emails.

Cheers,

Rebekah King
