How to make an advertising portfolio..?
guys please help me out on this , i am planning to make one but don't know how to start , any idea,suggestion will be of great help .

Sorry for the confusion, what i meant was , that i am as a student want to make an advertising portfolio of my own , so that i can show my work to the concerned person, but i don't know how to start , so any insight will be of great help .

You question is not clear.
And advertising portfolio in the normal sense
is a portfolio of advertising that has been
created by an advertising agency for clients.
I don't see how that applies in your case.
But that is all it is.
Yes, as an entrepreneur, we don't know what you intend to do with one, but these days, I'd say that the portfolio of work needs to be in an electronic format, say CD, should be self-running on any platform, and should probably be interactive with a website.
As a former Art Director, I've seen lots of portfolios from agencies. The ones that impressed me most were what I would call practical. They explained the why and how of an ad or campaign, and they were simple. I am more impressed by simple creative, especially in the packaging of the portfolio itself.
