What are your marketing ideas for a new automotive apparel company?
Our apparel is mainly targeting the German car enthusiasts. We're currently running ads online and off in BMW/Porsche centered websites and magazines with mixed results. What kind of interesting ideas do you have to promote our brand?

Retargeting would be great way to multiply your efforts in a cost effective manner. We would pixel your site, and then display your banners to people who have visited your site. The inventory you are currently advertising on is expensive niche inventory, this would allow you to reach the same audience on general inexpensive inventory. Conversion rates are usually very strong with this method.

Hi Jon,
Not sure if you consider organic search marketing interesting but in the long term I definitely feel it is a way to go to increase your websites presence, branding comes with visitors.
Additionally something like blogging has been known to help establish certain companies and/or individuals as experts in their fields, perhaps having a look at that could help. That could definitely increase the value of your brand.
What ads are you running at the moment, Adwords content network?

Hi Jon,
I do agree with Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click as a strategy. If you do not have a large budget, you may want to check out www.buyequityads.com. they are desiogned for small business with smaller budgets and their priced packages reflect that.
I also agree with blogging and forums. However, i think you really need to hit the "Aficionado" market. You can start broad if you want because aficionados tend to like the premium brands of nearly everything. So Cigar Aficionados may also be in premium car brands etc. However, you can narrow your market to just Car Aficionados and even German Car Aficionados.
1. I would see about obtaining a list of buyers of those kinds of cars in the last 5 years.
2. I would see about obtaining a list of those who submitted inquiries on a website or otherwise.
3. the first may be able to be obtain off of a list company or you may need to seek some sort of affiliate relationship with the car brand.
4. I would also search organized groups and associations based on luxury cars (see site posts below as examples).
5. Other verticals you may want to seek affiliation with are other luxury clothing lines (i.e. Raulph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, etc.).
Just a few of my thoughts anyway. hope this helps.
