Astrology, palmistry is nothing but statistics. What says?

Long time ago in Indain sub continent, this science was developed by great statisticians. They recorded lives of people. And their palm lines...or the planetory positions during their birth. They collected this data for long years and then statistically developed a model based on a particular pattern of lines on palm or a pattern of planetory positions.
These are purely my views. Donno what you all feel. Would like to know your thoughts. Also I have elaborated the concept on my blog http://lugamba-india.blogspot.com.

You think so? Do you remember the elephant and the six blind men story?

There is more to these sciences. Since they are complex and we want simple explanations we deride them or reduce them to definitions, labels and what not, we try to fit something into our understanding and our boxes. Somethings dont fit in...and just because they dont, does not mean anything.

I think these are powerful sciences, which we have lost the knowledge to understand and comprehend or effectively use. No wonder most of the country resonates to it, for we have all at some time experienced the fruits of these sciences and those impressions are deeply embedded in our psyche.
