To someone who has been in the workforce, Justin, I would say, no, please don't use these words. For a student, however, I would recommend using these words (providing you are a student just starting out, not someone going back to school mid-career) to help 'define' you. These are YOUR perceptions of who you are, and when recruiters are able to 'verify' this about your personality, they may be better able to help guide you in choosing the right position/career. When you have little directive work experience, these words definitely help. Once you get going, however, you'll see that they don't have as much relevance for you.
Good luck to you, Justin!

These are just fluff words. Demonstrate such by accomplishments. The Skills section is a searchable feature on LinkedIn. People are going to use to search for specific, concrete skills not for "perceptive" or "organizing".

Hi Justin,

There is a big difference between skill sets and personal qualities. I believe many of the ones mentioned fall under the category of personal qualities, not demonstrable skills. These can be powerful if provided in a recommendation by someone else, but lack credibility if you are just providing them in a list on your profile. My first question when reading the list would be: "give me some examples of how you've used this."

Just a minor nitpick... It's "Oriented", not "Orientated".

If it is for an entry level position for a student then yes since they didnt really acquire any hands on the job skills yet and these skills is what recruiters or hiring managers look for in an entry level but as you progress in your career they would be non-important and will be replaced with actual hands on skills like leadership .....
