Has anyone used TRIZ in the recruitment process?
I don't mean from as technical a point of view as when used in manufacturing, but purely in creative terms as a structured approach to problem solving; identification of administrative contradictions etc.

Hi, we have worked with several HR departments applying our business TRIZ toolkit. Mainly in Asia - where we also run 2-day 'TRIZ for HR' public workshops. . Hope this helps. Best, Darrell

We have applied TRIZ for recruitment processses of IT engineers in a large IT company. The Ideal Final Result led us to something like Amazon's 1-click recruitment portal that was well received by the client.
Iain, we have applied TRIZ for problem definition and idea generation for recruitment including attracting talent, interview, stickiness etc. We used Systematic Innovation methodologies (From Darrell) with other techniques like lateral thinking (a combined approach). In fact, we found the recruitment area the best to apply TRIZ, and this created a big momentum for TRIZ for the rest of the org. Hello, Iain: Yes, my answer will sound like an echo of Darrell's and Prakasan's, but several companies I have worked with (electronics, agriculture, and banking) have used TRIZ to simplify/improve their recruitment systems. The primary approach is first look at ideality, then look at modeling the system and removing the conflicts (reminiscent of both Lean and Theory of Constraints, too, but with a much more general set of ideas)
