Are recruiters using Web 2.0?
Are you leveraging social-networking sites, RSS feeds, blogs, etc... to get the most out of your recruiting efforts?
Clarification added April 14, 2008:
What sites are you sourcing from?
What RSS feeds are you subscribing to?

Yes! Yes! Yes!
I regularly use Facebook, LInkedIn and Twitter as a continual way to build my professional network for the best recruiting results.
Facebook offers me a wide range of talent that might not be on LinkedIn. There are many professional groups that offer me a huge networking pool. This has always created many solid recruiting sources that I can continue to build professional relationships with.
Twitter is one of the coolest ways to gain social networking knowledge. There are quite a few professional bloggers that I interact with to gain the best and most up-to-date information on the social networking world. I subsribe on in particular that focuses on Social Networking and Recruiter - see my followers on Twitter to find this hidden jewel - or contact me directly and I'll be happy to share.
I also subscribe to Dave Medoza, Shally and Bill Vick's recruiting blogs - fabulous recruiting minds!

Absolutely, I am using discussion groups to find programmers, social-networking sites are great, because I am able to meet new company clients; blogs for example are great for marketing positions etc. Web 2.0 is future not only for Internet, but I believe that Web 2.0 will be big step for recruitment too. :)
Absolutely. I do use Facebook and LinkedIn, and I also utilize blogs for job posts. I'm all over Twitter as well constantly trying to expand my network. I do believe that the use of these technologies for recruiting and talent management are still in it's infancy, however it's growing exponentially.

I have participated in a number of Web 2.0 webinars and honestly haven't formed an an opinion of how viable this medium is in the technical recruiting space. Linked In has yielded some excellent candidate and client contacts, so I unabashedly give it a thumbs up, but the blogosphere remains an enigma to me. I still believe recruiting is a people business and although we have more tools than ever, the end result still requires personal interaction between a jobseeker and an employer. Combining some of the technological enablers available to us is great, but relying on a blog to land a job or find a candidate is not something I have embraced.
IGoogle is a great service that enables you to set up a dashboard of RSS feeds. It even gives you suggestions to popular feeds depending on the topic.
Recruiting directly from forums, blogs and networking sites is the way to go. As a design recruiter, I have found more talented people from these efforts than I ever did on commercial resume sites such as: Monster, CareerBuilder, Yahoo Hotjobs, etc.
Recruiters are using web 2.0 less than talents ! ;-)
I'd say less than 5% of all recruitments.have been done thanks web 2.0
Nevertheless Recruitment 2.0 is a growing pratice, especially in head hunting.
There are some nice examples too from employers using HR blogs, WebTV-viral videos, facebook groups, non-employee referral campaigns, social ads, ...
The web can be a valuable tool to perform a first selection, but you cannot recruit just using only Internet, unless you are looking for a plain executor, that is, you are just looking for technical skills. A face to face meeting is a must to understand the attitudes and capabilities of an individual, and if he/she can be part of your company also from a social and culturral point of view.
