Selecting HR software

We are in the early stage / discovery phase of selecting an HR software for our professional services company (under 100 employees).

Key criteria:
1) Easy to implement and use.
2) Web based - for employee access
3) MUST be able to integrate to ADP payroll.

Any recommendations?

You may want to try Workday. I have plenty of contacts from my glory days at PSFT working there.

Call your ADP Account Rep. ADP has 2 solutions that easily integrate with Payroll. One of the solutions is an extension of your payroll software --if you are currently using PayExpert. The other one has a lot more of reporting capabilities, great for benefits tracking, is a little more expensive and payroll data transfer is somehow manual --you will need to upload a file into your payroll software if you are using PayExpert. The implementation for the latter one can be lengthy --about 12 weeks but it is well worth it. ADP prices are competitive as well.

I have used People-Trak and love it. Ford Motor Company outsourced it's HRIS in the 90's and this software was created out of it. It is well supported, robust and easy to use. The cost per user is very reasonable. Ask for Susannah if you contact them.

Hi Kumar,
One of the easiest programs for companies your size is probably something from the Abra family from Sage Software. Abra Suite is a fairly complete, simple system that has a lot of extansibility. It has an employee self-service module (ESS) that connects to the web. They also offer a module called "Abra Link" that integrates their HR with ADP via pre-defined templates.

In the past, I've implemented Abra for a number of Philly-area companies, including Comcast, Mannington, MAB Paints, Catholic Charities of Trenton, Lincoln Investments, Pegasus Communications, Philadelphia Mental Health Care Corporation, etc. Many of these companies also use or used ADP and either worked with the module I mentioned or used a custom utility I wrote to handle the integration where it was more complicated than the shrink-wrapped product.

Try sections of Adrenelin as it may help in scaling later on. Also easier to implement at earlier stages than later. Infact for a small organisation with 100 people, if you need database management you can get some off the shelf products in HK...
In short while the key criteria remain..take into account ur next 5 yr plan of growth, the organisation that is providing the product so that there is credibility and long term relationship, and also ur budgets...
