If you only want to make your profile hidden and unavailable -
[1] Go to 'My Profile' tab.
[2] Select the 'Edit my Public Profile' tab.
[3] If you select 'None' here, your profile will not be found or displayed using any search engine.

If you want to totally cancel your LinkedIn account, e-mail customer service. In the link, go to question 'What if I want to close my basic LinkedIn account and be removed from the system?'
