It might make sense to get quotes from multiple collection agencies. Look at the link below for more information. Not all collection agencies are created equal - some can do more harm then good. Don't evaluate on % fee alone - look for higest 'net back'. Good luck!

Allan,
I run a boutique commercial collection agency specializing in larger claims against businesses. We have an A+ rating from the BBB and you can see independent reviews at Trustlink. We have an 85% success rate on claims over $10k. We do not collect from individuals. Very competitive rates. All this information is available on our site.
Best regards,
Dean Kaplan

I've use the Examiners Group in Kirkland, WA (Seattle metro area) with good success.
Keith & Jim seem to have more finesse than the larger collection agencies and can pick and chose which affiliates to refer claims outside their geographical area.
Are you a member of your local National Association of Credit Managers?
The Dunn & Bradstreet collection stickers and seminars on Collections and Business Credit Scoring are also helpful.
