Hi Sankar,

Your relationship with your immediate manager is often one that causes the most angst and frustration, so I would make sure that you both respect each other, can work collaboratively together and that you can learn from this person as a mentor or coach.

You can be offered well for all of the above but will the company still be in the market in the next 2-3 years? Go with the industry leaders.

You need to look at what types of benefit program the company has, and does it work for you and your family. What is/are the pension programs, and does that fit with your future plans.

This has to be an individual thing, both in terms of what uis on the list and order of priority. It will also vary depending on your current situation and desires/responsibility.

relatively recently I developed "social responsibility" - the desire to do work where I could see the benefits it was bringing to society - so earlyin my career that wasn't a feature, but now it's a strong one.

Sankar - I would recommend mirroring the components that make up employee engagment. By using employee engagment factors you can get a more accurate and complete picture of the nature/quality of a potential future engagement. I would also encourage to include a dimension around market attractiviness and customer satisfaction as criteria. The weighting scheme could be modelled using a structured process assessing current needs versus desired long-term goals. Please let me know how I can help further.
