What is the best way to get a business development or account executive role at a tech firm in East or Southern Africa?
I am interested in moving back to Africa and would like to get some advice on the best way to get a biz dev or account executive role with tech firms like Google or Microsoft in Africa.

The job search process is really not that different from what I describe in my Job Search Survival Guide. Geography has been pretty much eliminated as an issue for getting a job you love in a foreign country.
I mean if you want to apply for a position in Richmond, VA and you live in Denver, CO you can go ahead and apply for that. All we have to do is coordinate a face to face interview probably at some point in the game or done the road in terms of you being seen as a good candidate. Same thing is true if you are in another country. I mean the world really is flat, geographical borders has been pretty much erased. If you are a good candidate and the position is in another country go ahead and apply for that because it’s the same process that I lay out in The B-Effective Job Search Survival Guide. You can also go to a lot of websites out there that will help you in these types of creative repositions. Sites like job monkey, cool jobs, backdoor jobs, seasonal workers, and snagajob.com. Those are just some that examples but just Google finding work in a foreign country and you’re going to get tones of sites that are going to help you position yourself.
