Employment Opportunities in Mech Eng for new graduate who is deaf.
Do you know of UK (pref southern) opportunities for a new graduate in Mechanical Engineering, with very strong university performance but one limitation in that he is profoundly deaf? (Able to speak and lip read exceptionally well) Thanks for any help you can offer.
Any general Mech Eng related graduate advice also welcome, it's not my field.

He could do what I did: graduate in Mech Eng and get a job in software. If he's interested, please send him my details, as we're recruiting.
If he'd rather stay in Mechanical Engineering, I don't know.

Here in the US that would not necessarily impact his opportunities.
The US has the American's with Disabilites Act and companies are required by law to make accomodations for people who are otherwise qualifeid for a job.
