Any recommendations for a 15-minute Guided Meditation CD or mp3?

I am looking for a short, guided meditation (something that talks about energy movement, or lowering your heartbeat or slowing your mind).

I prefer audio to books, because I find that it is easier and faster to move into a meditative mindset when I'm being guided by someone.

I only need a few minutes - a short 15-minute guided meditation to break up my day, and improve my concentration (by letting go once a day and relaxing my mind).

Does anyone take a daily meditation break with a guided meditation program? What programs have you used? Which programs did you like? Thanks for all the answers!!!

I was at a Networking event where they brought in a Hypnotist who was spectacular. I went home and looked at his online library and there are many things there. I know he has meditation sessions - and if you download it as an mp3 it's MUCH cheaper.

I have found this particular technique very helpful preached by Siva Baba, this is a video log on youtube hope this truly helps you. This is a primordial form of focussing on your chakras in your body .

I use an excellent CD created by a minister at the Center for Spiritual Living in Dallas. Her name is Petra Weldes. It might be on their website-www.csldallas.org...if not, let me know and I'll see what I can do to get you one.

Beliefnet has several audio guided meditations from different faith traditions. These may be shorter than you are looking for, but I've tried several of them and have found them helpful. They're free, so even if they don't work for you, it isn't much loss to try them.

The Meditation Podcast is my favorite. It's a series of 10 guided meditations that run about 25 minutes. It's available on iTunes, or at the website.

Great question! I've been looking for something similar. It seems like if I try to meditate by myself I get easily distracted. Thanks for the links, posters.

Hi Mark,

Actually I produced a great guided imagery meditation a few years ago, called Escape from Stress. It has 3 guided meditations on the disc, a 10 minute, 20 Minute and 30 Minute relaxation. There is also a great track about understanding your body mind connection. www.RelaxationMeditations.com

Check it out and let me know what you think.

I would highly recommend Belleruth Naprasek: in her recordings she offers meditation and guided imagery to deal with a variety of issues such as depression, anxiety, improving sleep, dealing with grief, and many more.
