What's the best application to use when starting a wholesale business in clothing?

We will become distributor of a certain brand in the Benelux and I wonder if there's a certain application already available that covers the whole process (buying, stock, order, delivery, invoicing, collecting, etc).

Location specific: Utrecht Area, Netherlands

It sounds like you are a SMB (Small to Mid-Size Business), which puts most ERP solutions like SAP out of reach financially. I have my own third party fulfillment and distribution business that I have grown using Open Source Software. Source code is free. You just pay a subject matter expert, consultant, to customize it to your business processes. The ROI is tremendous. The three worth looking into are OFBiz, Compiere, and OpenBravo. Of these OFBiz is my personal favorite. It is the only true open source application and is very scalable because it is browser based. Check it out at the link and let me know what you think.

Jan Willem,

I don't know if there's anything specific on the market. But I do know that SAP Business One can be a good option for wholesale in general.
If this is the kind of software you are looking for, then I recommend you also to take a good look at Microsoft Dynamics (Navision).
An alternative, more cost-effective option can be Exact (Globe). A price indication for Exact can be found here: http://www.inkoopmkb.nl/html/exact_prijzen.asp

Regards,
Mark
