What makes a website, forum, community, weblog no-1 in your favorites list?

Just browsed through my "memberships" and favorites regarding communities, weblogs, forums, websites, etc..
I observed that I could make an distinction in:
1) visit frequent and post/commenting frequent
2) visit frequent and post/commenting occasionally
3) visit frequent and not posting/commenting"
4) visit occasionally
5) could be moved from my "favorites"

My question is actually two-folded:
1) Have you got also similiar distinctions?
2) Looking to distinction: "visit frequent and post/commenting frequent" what makes it for a weblog, forum, community, website,.... to be at that position...?

A little deeper: looking to forum-membership is that the way people interact, the responce-time on your posts, "feeling @ home", meeting peers, amount of members, amount of posts per day, knowledge level of the membership....

Any examples..?

looking forward to your responces.

Thanks in advance.

Rgrds,
Marco

First in my list would be the one I actively use most often. For example I use Xing and Linkedin but Linkedin is above Xing because I actively participate in the Answers section (as you can see).

The deciding factor for me is not about quality or ease of use or anything else - it's just the practical consideration of what am I most likely to click on, which is driven by a number of factors.

As with anything there must be a value proposition that outweighs the trouble of gaining the value. In other words, if the system (website, blog, forum, etc...) is easy to use, the value added by the system need not be very much.
One example is in fact LinkedIn... it is very easy to use and it provides ease to keep up with contacts. It is truly a value proposition.

I am active in some facebook groups plus linkedin. The importance of user interface can't be overstated, and is often overlooked.

Next would be the presence of specific groups where I can get information from. Some groups are very strong in certain networks, but not in others. For eg, facebook has a good number of business networks, but they have a weak presence in myspace.
