Can a UAE or US driver's license be exchanged for a Dutch one?
We are about to relocate to the Netherlands and would like to know if our driver's licenses can be exchanged without passing a test.
I am a Canadian citizen and I hold a UAE driver's license, my husband is a German citizen and holds an American driver's license.
According to this site http://www.rijbewijs.nl/nl/english.asp#e3 it's not possible, but some people have mentioned that it should't be an issue. Would appreciate a correct answer.

By the way, an international driver's license is not accepted in the Netherlands unless you're a tourist. Also after relocation, one can drive with their own driver's license for 90 days after arrival but it's after this period of time that one has to either exchange their license or get a Dutch one.

It depends on the type of license but also if you want tot exchange it or use an international license. I suggest you contact the RDW (official government institute) @ the link I posted below. That can give you definite answer.

You could always get an international drivers license from AAA. Or call the consulate in question.
