How do I stop LinkedIn from sending invitation requests to my googlemail contacts again and again...?
Dear all,
I need your help urgently. LinkedIn has to stop sending requests to people from my gmail account/list to be 'Linked In". These people are getting angry about being disturbed and my boss is one of them!
The LinkedIn service is basically supposed to help business...not ruin it or harm personal friendships as well as current business relationships. So I do not appreciate these invitations pestering my contacts. Therefore, please help me to stop these inviting horror.
I deleted already my "sent invitations" folder but I am not sure that this idea helps.
So your help is pretty much appreciated.
Thank in advance,
Jens.
Jens.

Jens: Deleting an invitation does not withdraw it. You will need to go to your Deleted Items, open them & withdraw them.
Recipients have the option to stop these reminders through a link in those messages they are getting, also.

Greetings Jens:
You might be able to withdraw an Invitation not identified as "Accepted". To see if you can withdraw the Invitation, take the following steps:
1. Click on "Sent" from the "Inbox" dropdown menu (found in the top navigation bar of the home page).
2. Click on the "Sent Invitations" tab next to "Sent Messages" found under the main navigation bar.
3. Click on the subject line of the Invitation you wish to withdraw from the list of messages shown. This will allow you to see the Message detail.
4. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on the "Withdraw" button. If the option to withdraw is not present, then this Invitation cannot be withdrawn. (It may have already expired.)
No notification message will be sent to this member. You can create another Invitation to the member once three days have passed since your last Invitation.
Regards,
-Dinesh

Hi Jens,
This is not LinkedIn Customer Service. You can contact LI at http://help.linkedin.com/app/ask or cs@linkedin.com and ask them to withdraw all sent invitations
OR you can withdraw deleted LI invitations one by one
1. Click on "Inbox" (found in the top navigation bar of the home page).
2. Click on the "Trash" tab on the left side
Cheers,
Gopu
