Torben, I've just started using YouTube and had a great response, even though I'm 'selling' such an intangible service as business consulting.
This is the first of my education videos in the link below. The presence of an expert such as Neil Rackham made a huge difference of course. I've just shot a series of YouTube videos for loading next year on different aspects of our work. Some are deliberatley quite funny as otherwise consulting can be seen as a very dry subject.

Hi Torben, Great question and one I'm also planning to do more of next year.
To begin with I'll use the wonders of powerpoint and the functionality of voiceover to ease me in gently before moving onto media and the a local film company to do something more fun. On that note I recommend Adam and his team at White Lantern Film a really innovative film company who do exactly this type of work.

Hi Torben
I launched a youtube video recently to help in fundraising for diabetes research. Too early to say how good an impact this will have.
A friend of mine is about to launch one for a product that is difficult to promote by written word/pictures but which "demonstrates" really well. I will point him at this question as I'm sure it will be of interest.

Torben,
ConnectionForce is a SAAS productivity tool that allows purchasers and decision makers to filter salespeople who constantly call or stop by their office so we depend on YouTube heavily. At www.ConnectionForce.com we use 'YouTube' videos to not only demo or product but to train our membership on how to use our product. YouTube is so versatile now you can post a video to YouTube and then embed it on your website. This lets YouTube act as a free "hosting" site for your videos. This is a big advantage because bandwidth for hosting a high quality video can be costly but also allows for SEO opportunities because your content is listed in more places.
The videos attached are examples.
