What do you think about the relationship between ITIL V3 Service Lifecycle and the concept of SOA? Or is it possible to establish such a connection?
The new version of ITIL speak about SOA within the context of Service Design. But what exactly could SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) mean to us if we think about Service Lifecycle concept of ITIL V3?

SOA is one of the many components of complementary frameworks and methodologies that you can combine with ITIL to put together a comprehensive plan for process improvement, service management, continuous service improvement, etc. ITIL is not the end-all, be-all. You have to harmoniously integrate with other components to make everything work.

I think your question would go wasted here under this sub-category of "Customer Service", and you would be better off asking such 'software / IT - related' questions under the sub-categories of "Information Technology", "Software Development" and "Enterprise Software", in order for you to get a better response rate.
This 'Customer Service' area does not denote the customer service of Linkedin.com, but instead the field/business/industry/profession/industry/occupation of customer service or customer satisfaction.

I think you can make use of ITIL in SOA. The service management process is quite generic and can be applied to SOA governance. After all you need to mange services. SOA is not just about web services but transforming the enterprise also into service orienting thinking – providing services for the internal and external customers. The same idea is somewhat build into ITIL. So you can use ITIL to identify services that should be supported in the SOA. On the other hand you can use ITIL to be a blueprint for how to manage the resulting services.
I don’t see any issues with marrying the two topics.
